Green fireball October 9, 1946

An October 9, 1946 meteor shower featured large numbers of extremely bright fireballs observed by Dr. LaPaz from approximately 20,000 feet in a B-29 aircraft, showing blue or blue-green hues but not yellow-green colors.
“The . shower of October 9, 1946 - anyone here who saw that? There were large mumbers of extremely bright fireballs at that time. Kaplan himself recalled that they were blue, maybe blue-green, but never yellow green. And I observed those wier very favorable circumstances - we were flying at about 20,000 feet in a B29.”
