On July 7, 1947, at approximately 3 PM, small burned metal fragments and little blazes were discovered on the lawn of Earl Whitehead in West Rindge, New Hampshire. The metallic fragments were approximately 14 inches in diameter, 3/16 inch thick, machine tooled, and appeared to have been subjected to extreme heat.
