On June 30, 1947, at approximately 9:10 AM MST, Lieutenant William G. McGinty, flying a P-80 at 25,000 feet over the Grand Canyon, observed two round objects descending at extreme speed in a straight line, separated by seconds.
“on 30 June 1947, at about 0910, MST, he was flying at 25,000 feet over Grand Canyon, Arizona, in a P-80 type aircraft. He stated that he was heading south towards Williams Field, Ariz., when he saw two round objects going at inconceivable speeds, straight down.”
