Vertical Cylinder Object Over Delaware, Ohio

Reverend James B. Stephenson observed a white vertical cylindrical object larger at the bottom and narrower at the top, with vapor streamers, moving slowly in a southwesterly direction. The Delaware airport was alerted but did not sight the object.
“Witness first thought that object was a plane on fire, as it was surrounded by a vaporous substance. A plane was heard, and a a great, deal- et noin. Alter a tew seconds' stud7 object became el.early o utlined and looked p11:ifdlar to a vertical cylinder, large at the bottom am narrow at the top, w1th streamers or strealca of vapor attached.”
