Lubbock, Texas sightings and photographs
Five Texas Tech college professors observed multiple formations of lights passing over Lubbock on multiple nights in late August 1951, with measurements indicating angular velocity of 30 degrees per second. A student photographer captured images of the formations.
“These five college professors from Texas Tech were sitting out in the backyard one evening, in what was it, August, yes, August 25th, and they happened to be discussing meteors and so they were sitting there looking up in the sky, and all of a sudden this bunch of lights went over.”
