A seven-inch ball of flame with an eight-foot trail was sighted from Phoenix, Arizona on July 2, 1952, at 0420 hours, traveling in an arc from northwest to southwest over approximately 3-4 minutes.
“(1) SEVEN INCH BALL OF FLAME WITH EIGHT FOOT TRAIL SIGHTED. NO SOUND OR LIGHTS RESEMBLING KNOWN FLYING OBJECTS. (2) SIGHTED AT @42@ ON 2 JULY 1952 FoR 3 TO 4 MINUTES.”
