FBI employee Sylvia L. Richards and fiancé Joseph L. Morris Jr. observed a spinning, oval-shaped object with bright blue lights flying very low near Henderson, North Carolina at approximately 5 AM on April 6, 1956.
“On April 6, 1956, Miss Sylvia L. Richards, an employee of this Bureau who resides at Two East Mason Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia, while en route to Morven, North Carolina, via automobile, with her fiance, Mr. Joseph L. Morris, Jr., observed an unusual object which appeared to resemble a flying saucer. Miss Richards stated at about 5 A.M., on April 6, 1956, while it was still dark and while driving on Route 1 north of Henderson, North Carolina, she and Mr. Morris were startled by what appeared to be an oval-shaped, low-flying object coming directly towards their car at a great speed, on the driver's side.”
