Two teenage boys observed red and green lights hovering over an area near Cadboro Bay; minutes later a separate witness observed similar red and green lights over the roadway at low altitude, appearing to span the width of the road.
“On April 14th, 1967, at about 8.05 p.m., Ian Squire and Scott McNeill (two boys aged about 14) were on their cycles going along Cedar Hill Crossroads, Virginia, B.C. They crossed over Cadboro Bay Road into Upper Terrace Road (Uplands residential district), and proceeded down into Ripon Road as far as the Circle. From there, they saw a red and a green light hovering over what they thought was probably the area of the Uplands Golf Clubhouse on Cadboro Bay Road.”
