A comet-like object was observed in the western sky near Boise, Idaho for 20 minutes, visible to Lieutenant Governor Whitehead and Chief Justice Lampert. Its nature was unknown.
“THE BOISE (Idaho) OBJECT—This was seen either beginning or ending at 330 pm 2); June 197 and was visible for 20 minutes. It was in the western sky, was of comet-like appearance, and settled gradually toward the horizon as planetary bodies set. Its nature was unknom.”
